From elite sport to a managing mental safety in workplaces

Our Story

Readiness was created to make workplace mental safety as practical and measurable as physical safety.

When elite athlete exercise scientist Simon Kearney decided he wanted to bring his expertise in mental wellbeing from the world of sport into the workplace, he approached Paul Francis, an experienced data and technology strategist. Together they recognised a unique opportunity: to combine Simon’s deep knowledge of wellbeing and performance with Paul’s ability to design and deliver scalable digital products.

Their shared vision became the foundation of Readiness; a platform designed to help organisations identify psychosocial hazards, measure wellbeing, and build safer, healthier, and higher-performing workplaces.

With early support from prominent Australian businessman Gerry Ryan OAM, who recognised that workplaces were the key to driving large scale change in mental health, the Readiness team turned concept into reality.

Today, Readiness works with organisations of all sizes and across industries, providing leaders with the tools, insights, and support they need to meet compliance obligations and create cultures where people can thrive.
